  • Swim Rules for Children 4 and under

    Double Layer Policy

The swimmer must wear a disposable swim diaper and a non – disposable swim diaper to assure a double layer of protection. The non – disposable swim diaper must pass the two – finger test (if two fingers can be inserted under the elastic in the legs and waist, the swim diaper is too large and the child will not be permitted to enter the water). Examples of non-disposable swim diapers are the I play swim diaper (can be found at Target or Amazon) or the Conni Swim shorts (found at https://shop.conniusa.com/)

Swim diapers and swim pants are not a substitute for frequent diaper changing and bathroom breaks. Diaper changing can’t be done on the pool deck area.

    Bathroom Break Policy

All children 8 and under will need to exit the water and take a bathroom break at 20 minutes after the hour and at adult swim break.

    Supervision Policy

All children under 6 years old must be supervised by an adult at all times. Remember the baby area of the pool is not under lifeguard watch during adult swim.

All members must help enforce these policies. If you see a possible violation, notify the lifeguard.

The quality of the pool water is strictly regulated and any compromise jeopardizes health and safety. Incidents most likely will cause the pool to be closed for at least 24 hours.

    As a reminder:

All swimmers who are sick with diarrhea—whether they use swim diapers, swim pants, or not—should stay out of the water. Swimmers sick with diarrhea that don’t stay out of the water risk contaminating the pool with poop and germs, which can make others sick.

  • 1. All persons must adhere to the rules and comply with the instructions of the lifeguard if one is present. Those failing to do so will have their pool privileges revoked or suspended. The lifeguard can expel persons from the pool for misconduct. If you have a complaint about a lifeguard then contact the chairperson of the pool committee.

    2. Members are expected to work in conjunction with lifeguards for the safety of small children. Children 9 or Under, or any child who cannot swim the length of the pool, without stopping & unassisted in any way, should always be closely supervised by a responsible person.
